1. EMPIR Call 2014: Metrology for Industry

In 2014 EURAMET will issue calls for joint research for “Metrology for Industry” and “Research Potential”.

EURAMET will issue a Call for Support for Impact projects designed to increase the impact from completed i-MERA Plus and EMRP projects in August 2014.

Metrology for Industry

The evaluation process of the Stage 2 Call for Joint Research Project (JRP) proposals has been finalised. Following the Review Conference held in November, where external independent referees evaluated and ranked the proposals, the EMPIR Committee agreed on a final list of selected JRPs to fund.

The following 14 project proposals have been selected (9 with the participation of CMI - in bold) and will be invited for contract negotiation:

  1. Advanced 3D chemical metrology for innovative technologies
  2. Microwave measurements for planar circuits and components
  3. Metrology for length-scale engineering of materials
  4. Enhancing process efficiency through improved temperature measurement
  5. Optical metrology for quantum enhanced secure telecommunication
  6. Metrology for manufacturing 3D stacked integrated circuits
  7. Industrial standards in the intermediate pressure-to-vacuum range
  8. Metrology for the electrical power industry
  9. Metrology for highly-parallel manufacturing
  10. Metrology for 5G communications
  11. Metrology for humidity at high temperatures and transient conditions
  12. Metrology for innovative nanoparticles
  13. Metrology for the photonics industry - optical fibres, waveguides and applications
  14. Torque measurement in the MN•m range

Research Potential

The following 5 project proposals have been selected (4 with the participation of CMI - in bold) and will be invited for contract negotiation:

  1. Towards the propagation of ac quantum voltage standards
  2. Traceable calibration of automatic weighing instruments operationg in the dynamic mode
  3. Matrix reference material for environmental analysis
  4. Absorbed dose in water and air
  5. Developing traceable capabilities in thermal metrology
